Last Friday I attended my company's work xmas do (organised by yours truly) which took place at the rooftop bar of a Hilton Hotel. It was an absolutely fabulous night, I drank Laurent Perrier Rose all night (I'm a sucker for a pink champagne), I mean how can it get any better from there?
Here are a few pics I managed to get from the night:

I finally got myself a new makeup bag, the one I was using before was old, tattered and quite frankly an embarrassment. After a bit of browsing through the internet, I finally decided on this one:
Ted Baker constantly have me swooning over their cute accessories, they're just irresistibly feminine and classy with the pretty bows on everything. After much uhm-ing and ah-ing I decided to go for the one in nude because it just looked so beautiful and chic, plus I love me some nude and gold (my favourite colours ever)
It's a perfect size to fit everything that I need to carry around with me on a daily basis. This makeup bag is definitely the perfect girly accessory and at £25 definitely worth every penny.
I bought mine from House of Fraser and you can find it here
I reckon I should become an interior designer - what do you reckon? LOL
I'll be creating one for my perfect living room next, so keep your eyes out for it!
Smooches.

As I have been here shopping like crazy (or rather, trying) in an attempt find gifts for my girl cousins and some of my friends, I thought I'd share with you all a few of the ideas I came up with for the girly girl.
1. A faux fur hat. These are a great little winter accessory for every girl this christmas.
2. Laura Mercier makeup kit- classy and chic.
3. Lancome lipgloss- no girl can say no to a Lancome lipgloss.
4.. Justin Bieber perfume- this is for the younger girls (The Beliebers)
5. A pretty mirror for her bedroom/bathroom.
6. Cute Slippers to curl up in this winter. You can never have too many pretty slippers.
7. Uggs are the must-have for every winter.
8. Nail polish.
Happy Shopping!
My brother asked me yesterday what I wanted for Christmas, so I told him I'll update my wishlist on my blog and send him the URL. Perfecto!
This is one of my favourite perfumes and I don't think I could ever get sick of it.
The complete Friends box set (£50)
This would make my life complete. Rainy days indoors with a cup of tea, my blanket and Friends? Yes please.
Scented candles £2-£20
A girl can NEVER have too many candles. I surround my bathroom with them when I'm having a luxury soak, or when I'm chilling out listening to music, watching a film, WHENEVER really. It actually saddens me when my favourite candles reach the end of their lives. So candles as gifts would make me very happy.
Prada handbag £1300
Christian Louboutins £895
L. Marshall ft Little Nikki- Castles
I can't stop listening to this song. I absolutely love L. Marshall, his talent is undeniable and Little Nikki really complements this song, her voice is unique and fits perfectly with his.
Love, love, love it.
Hope you enjoy.
Someone asked me yesterday what my hobbies were and my face was like this....
The more I tried to rack my brains the more frustrated I got... How can I not have any hobbies?? Yeah I read and I like to go shopping but those aren't real hobbies.
I then decided that from this very day forward I shall have some hobbies. I have thought of a few so far but I want to start with two at first...
Cooking
Baking
Flower Arranging
Photography
Painting
Learn a new language
I will probably start with cooking and painting at first so expect blog posts of food and ridiculous drawings. (I cannot paint or draw to save my life) But sod it, nobody ever said you had to be good at the hobbies you do did they?
What are your hobbies anyway little critters? Leave me a comment and let me know what you get up to in your spare time when you're not working or studying or being a Mum or whatever it is.
I might even steal some of your ideas. Ha.
I will be a woman with many hobbies.

I had the pleasure of meeting Toby Foxcroft from MOTIVATE at work the other day. He gave us his motivational talk which worked around the idea of us moving from our "Comfort Zone" and into the "Learning Zone".
As human beings we like to stay in our comfort zone because we feel comfortable and safe there. We get into our little habits (Work, home, eat, sleep) However, we cannot grow or reach happiness here. By staying in our comfort zone we are stationery and non-progressive when really should be continuously moving upwards, achieving and growing as individuals.
Toby explained to us that in order to move into the Learning Zone we need to take risks and we need to challenge ourselves. Although it sounds blindingly obvious, I can definitely relate to how easy it is to find yourself retreating into your comfort zone from time to time. We all do it.
So anyway, in order to get back into the learning zone, we have to get out there, forget about feeling awkward, nervous, shy or out of place. We have to tell ourselves "What the hell is the worst that can happen?" If the answer is not death- GO FOR IT!
What on earth are we waiting for?!
Things I am going to do to ease myself out of my comfort zone:
- Next time I'll accept that invitation to go somewhere I wouldn't usually go
- I will take up the opportunity to do something at work I don't feel that confident doing.
- Go abroad alone for a few days; time for self-reflection and self- awareness
- Call some old friends I have lost contact with and make time to catch up with them
- Get back to writing my book and try to finish it once and for all
Right so I'm browsing the Internet (as you do) and I came across this PHENOMENAL fashion designer named Hayden Williams. You can check out his designs here.
Here are some of my favourites:
This illustration of Barack and Michelle Obama is one of my favourites and is now my desktop wallpaper at work. Inspiring. The dress she's wearing I could totally work with.
Here are some more of the power couples he has illustrated. From left top to bottom right:
Kanye & Kim, David & Victoria Beckham, Barack & Michelle Obama, Brad & Angelina, Jay-Z & Beyonce, Prince William & Kate.
Anyone who knows me knows all three dresses above have my name written all over them, especially the one in the middle. I love cocktail dresses. These are so girly and chic and I'd wear them all.
These designs are so edgy and classy at the same time. I would wear all of the above in a heartbeat. Especially the last dress. BEAUTIFUL.

I don't actually celebrate Halloween per se but I also NEVER turn down an opportunity to dress up. Dressing up is like my first love...!
I trawled through the internet and decided on an outfit which wasn't Halloween themed but nevertheless it was still 'fancy dress' and that's all that matters right?
I decided on this outfit...
I have no idea who I'm supposed to be here but that's not important. My little cousins said I looked like a scary Little Bo Peep so we can go with that...
All in all it was a great night.
Waking up yesterday to hear Obama had been re-elected was the best feeling ever... I love the fact Michelle is always there by his side, she is so strong and beautiful. It's not just Barack who won the election, THEY won the election...Barack and his wifey, his rock, Michelle Obama. Love her, love them.
This is just a little picture I made and posted on my Instagram to share my excitement with the world!
Xoxo.
Ahhhhh my new obsession is fringes.
I have never ever had a fringe and it wasn't until my Mum said to me yesterday that she's sick of seeing my big forehead that I thought to myself, why not try a fringe? I don't even know if they are in fashion per se but I've never been big on fashion so meh, I don't really care.
I absolutely love this full fringe on Leona Lewis, however I'm not sure I could pull off such a blunt fringe and even if I could I don't know if I could cope with that amount of hair on my face. I hate having hair on my face but it's winter so what the heck I could maybe give it a try.
This fringe is a lot softer and I reckon probably easier to pull off than the full blunt fringe.
Then there is the classic side fringe which is for those who don't want to commit to the whole fringe thing:
Ok so now here it goes....
Yours truly with a fringe....
What do you think lol?
I had a bit of fun playing on the virtual makeover tool www.taaz.com
Ha.
Enjoy your day little critters. xoxo
