Don't you love it when you see a really elegant woman and you think to yourself "wow, she's so elegant and classy". You know those women who are so simple yet intriguing, they're never flustered or in a rush. She's calm and patient and kind and she is always well presented.

I want to be one of those women.

I think there are small but simple things that make a woman 'elegant'...

Etiquette and good manners
Good posture
Having respect for others
Being softly spoken
Listening without interrupting
Being kind
Clean and neat nails
Confidence
Having self-respect
Holding high standards
Understanding that makeup should be fresh and minimal
Knowing how to be diplomatic
Avoiding use of vulgar language
Being well read
Being well travelled
Being cultured
Sending thank you notes
Having integrity
Being on time
Knowing how to be a good host
Being able to accept compliments gracefully
Walking in love
Not following fashion but having your own personal style
Being spiritual

Quiet Nights In...

I live for quiet nights in. Even though when I do go out I give it my all, I secretly prefer quiet nights in... home cooked meals, a bottle of wine, and a good film. (snuggles & kisses are most appreciated too)

So last weekend I cooked. I made a sirloin steak and served it with salad and a glass of red wine. I switched off all the lights and dotted some candles around to create a nice ambiance.

My Trip To Jamaica

Hey guys

I've been back for a while now and I guess I've finally gotten over my post holiday depression. (I cried on the plane home - it was that bad!) Anyway I thought I'd share my amazing trip with you all.

I'm already planning my next trip, this time to Ocho Rios... X

Me loving the warm beautiful sea on our hotel beach. We stayed in the RIU Montego Bay- I would definitely recommend it as a home away from home. I cried when we left because everyone was so lovely to us and they really became our new little family.

Me & Mummy Blackstar at the Dunns Fall. It was an absolutely sesnational experience - although I have to admit we chickened out and didn't make it to the top. We both thought we were going to die!

The renowned rum punch cocktails - backdrop - the beautiful Negril beach

The infamous rice & peas with jerk pork. I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life to be honest.

I honestly had SUCH an amazing time. Everyone in Jamaica is just so lovely and laid-back. We literally spent our time lounging by the pool or the beach, drinking cocktails, eating the delicious Jamaican cuisine and venturing out now and then to see more of Jamaica's rich culture. I'd go back in a heartbeat and next time I'd love to go and do the Bob Marley tour.

Happy Monday little critters!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I went out in West End for my girlies bday and then yesterday took the family out for a fathers day meal which was really nice.

And now it's Monday again *sigh*

I've been reading a book by Joyce Meyer called the 'The Confident Woman' and I thought I'd share some extracts with you this morning for Motivation Monday :-)

It's all about being confident in who you are and as the person God intended you to be.

Say no to fear.

Be the authentic you.

Don't doubt yourself, trust your instinct ladies. A woman's intuition never lies. Trust your first gut reaction and stick with it.
